With apologies to those folks in MN and WI who are still waiting for the lakes to freeze, the spycam from the secret forum snow satellite captured tracks in one of our favorite riding areas. Die hard sledders take our preseason recon seriously.....

If the resolution and focus aren't quite up to snuff, forgive me please. It was hard to keep the camera going while I held on to my beer, ran the GPS, worked the radio and entertained the Foreign exchange Swedish Bikini High Mountain Powder Interns in the back seat......... rough ride, but like I said, REVPILOT takes preseason reconnaissance very seriously........

Sawtelle Peak from a few feet away, in between in-flight movies and other entertainment, cockpit shenanigans, etc...

After the beverage cart passed down the aisle........

Mt. Jefferson through the prop wash..............

Gobbledygook.........

Revpilot has a lot of stuff in his cockpit. He gets pissed when you twist knobs, and flip stuff up and down and crap like that. It's all a bunch of dials and numbers and junk, but he seems to know what it does. I dunno, I have enough trouble trying to close the door after I pitch the empties out over the wilderness areas. Ya know, stuff to help keep our riding areas open and junk like that.

Good fun, Have a great season everybody

Seriously now folks,

Don't be drinkin' and riding your sleds. Don't drink and drive your car. Don't drink and operate your backhoe. And definitely don't drink and fly your Rev, or your Cessna. This thread has been for entertainment purposes only, not instructional purposes. Also, please do not throw your trash out in the Wilderness areas, or out of your car window, or off the back of your sled, or out your spaceship window. You might get putoowey blown back on you, and besides it's bad form.

Two Tops and the Lionhead area from the South. Happy sledding............

Just be sure to keep your hands off that blue knob.

By Gosh, yes we sure can take advantage of the opportunity to use the 182 for a good purpose. In fact, Revpilot and I are looking for either sponosrs or clients who will finance us to chase around the sky and sample snow data from the air and provide drooling intelligence to customers who jones after the white pow. We can be talked into flying cargo transport with our sleds to Revy, Sweden, Alaska as well, if the price is right. Please help us network and provide leads to clients willing to pay our way full-time to fly around, chase snow, post pics and report from first-hand experience how the snow is world wide. We will also report on the fun training the Swedish bikini high montain powder interns, and make videos of all the riding.

Sandman, your background and experience should garner you a position on the Airborne Team Ruptured Buzzard Recon Effort. We will save you a seat my friend......

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Stovebolt, thanks for the pictures.

I sneak down and ride that area several times a year. I have a friend with a cabin on Bills Island. Anyway, I am heading down this weekend and could ride Saturday, but I understood this area to be closed until after Thanksgiving. Am I miss informed??? or are those culvert operation tracks???:D
