fresh rebuild issues

I just redid the top end on my 02 summit 800x, fires up good and runs alright at first. when i start rippin though in bogs when i try to give it throttle and my stater side is running at 1400 degrees sometimes. i have a 530 jet on that cylinder and i went to a 500 on my clutch side which is running at 1120.

i hav vf3 reeds. crankshop twins and stingers. ported cylinders.
looking for some ideas on what to do. aside from jettin up on that one cylinder.?????

Possible that mag side crankcase seal is out? Not to scare you but I just helped rebuild a 02 700 Summit for a buddy. The sled started fine and my buddy took it for a short ride. He brought it back and said that it worked good but it had a slight midrange bog. I said OK-I'll take it for a ride. I made it about a 1/4 mile, laid the sled on its side to do a nice powder turn and it LOCKED UP TIGHTER THAN TIGHT! I am thinking the Mag side outer seal was bad and when I got on it hard it seized tight. Not a good feeling!

Deffinately an air leak. Spray WD-40 around carbs and seals when Idling, the RPM will change if a leak is detected

There is a port on the Mag side that goes directly into the crank case. It comes out of the case and points up at 90 degrees. Just to the right side under the right carb. The wiring from the Mag runs pretty close to it. Make sure the cap on it has not cracked or had wiring rub on it.
My riding partners sled had the wiring rub a hole in the cap and he burned up his engine with a lean run on the mag side.

This may not be your problem but it sure caused tons of trouble for my buddy.

was it doing this before the top end rebuild? carb boot , intake leak, mag seal, base gasket?????

it didn't do it before. just after the rebuild. its idling fairly high to i will have to try the wd-40 trick and see what happens.

I'm curious i've been asking for larger then 500 jets and i'm getting some answers that there way too large i shouldnt need to go that big.??
