freezing rain ...A tractor trailer and a pick up

Pretty sure its a gps.. And I agree truckers get a bad wrap.. Sit behing the wheel of one before you pass judgement.. Yes there are idiots out there in cars and trucks but being the bigger rig gets the trucks more notice.

I new some dick was gonna beak off about that .:rolleyes:

what do your mirors look like when you driving in freezing rain and snow storms ..I happen to wash my truck 3 times on a 4 day trip

this what I looked like when I pulled out of Edmonton

Ya know I was just ribbing a little when I posted about the mirrors. As if you couldn't tell by the smily face and the beer. But since you saw fit to call me a dick. Here goes. You say keep your mouth shut until you have ridden in or drove a truck. I more than likly had a million miles under my belt in a truck before you were even born. I was almost raised in atruck the first one being a 1664 Dodge conventional with a 413 and a 10 speed and 2 speed. That was in 63 and 64. (The MEN that drove those trucks now they were truckers)See my dad was a trucker all his life and I spent every summer and every school break I could on the road with him. I saw all 48 continental states by the time I was 8. 3 out of 5 Uncles were truckers their whole life. I have Cousins brother in laws and freinds who drive truck. I have driven truck for a living. My dad who at one time had 3 million accident free miles even told me once that he was becoming ashamed to tell people he was a trucker because of the idiot drivers that are out on the road.

Now for the ones that say everything we use comes on a truck. BFD!!!! I suppose that makes you all heros, just like all firefighters are heros after 9-11. No disrespect to fire fighters meant. What about the guy making tires? If it wasn't for that guy not one of you truckers would deliver a single ounce of freight. What about the guy building the truck, or the guy at the refinery that makes the diesel fuel, or the waitress waiting on your smelly arse at the truck stop? Or the construction worker that builds the road that you truckers drive on. Without eveyone in this country doing their job you truckers woud be pretty insignificant. Wouldn't you. Now I am sure several of you are wondering what my point is? If you can't figure it out there is no point in explaining it.

now that right there is beautful ............I myself come from 3 generations of truckers ...or should I say Drivers ...glad that you too could put into perspective for the rest of them ...........Merry Christmas :beer;

wow this just keeps getting better and better!!!

to all Drivers out on the road!!

DRIVE ON DRIVER!!

thank you!!!:D:beer;

My Father In Law is a driver. He hauls those big azz wind generators that been going up all over the place. Even having a pilot car and often law excorts, he still has to deal with dumb as$ drivers that try to cut him off to exit or will just about commit suicide to pass him on a bridge (he takes up 3/4 of the interstate). Gets flipped off dailey for going slow (duh, you pull 150,000 lbs and see how fast you go) andconstantly gets the growlies from people. I honestly cant believe the disrespect.

My brother used to haul sulfer in a truck with a pup full behind him. I cant believe how stupid people are to cut off trucks that hauling any liquids. He was coming down a main street in town when a car pulled out in front of him. He hit the skids and there were 3 sets of skid marks. First was his when the truck skidded to a hault, the next was the truck tires skidding another 40 ft from the push of the sulfer in the tanks and the third was the cars he hit thanks to the sulfer push. So for those that dont understand what I just explained.......The truck may be able to stop, but what they are hauling often cant.

Whats funny is, both my F.I.L. and my bro are the first to hang out the car window and give a trucker the full one bird with words to follow when they get wronged by one of the ignorant type truckers because they know those truckers are being "road bullies" as my bro calls them.

H2....Sweet azz truck man!

Read my original post. Notice I said most drivers are cool!!:mad:

I'm also not in the military, never was. Nor am I in the fire departement. I was making a point. (Huge respect for both and many others) It takes a lot to give each and everyone of us the quality of life we have. That LOT encompasses a multitude of professions that are equally important. I never said all truckers so you all can quits spewing that lie!:rolleyes:

no doubt!! I hate those f'n jack azziz! They love to cut people off to pass another truck because they can go 2 mph faster than the other truck!! All the while going 20mph under the speed limit!!!! Most drivers are cool, but there are so many f'n f'n fn't priks out there. I have nearly been taken off the road 5-8 time in the last 3 year because of the above it's not even funny!
Obvious driving error!

Well I wasn't and meant every word I wrote. There are lots unsafe truckers out there!! I don't drive in anyones blinds spot and any f'n trucker who pulls the stuff I'm talking about deserves to have their tire flattened!!
See, I nevers said ALL!:rolleyes:

As this statement might be true, it does nothing to absolve the bad truckers of their dooshbaggery!!!

See I referred to "Bad Truckers"!! Maybe there are guilty consciences at work here!!!???

If you got such a problem with truck drivers then maybe you should stop going to the store to buy groceries. Or to the gas station to get gas. Who do you think hauls that stuff for you dumb a**? maybe you shouldn't bite the hand that feeds you and keep your trap shut. Every person should have to either ride in a truck or drive one before they get there actual drivers license just so they know how big of a pain in the a** normal drivers can be.

The putting of words in my mouth continues!!
I see and deal with the same dumbazzes on the road they deal with. Where did I say they don't have A holes to deal with all the time??

like I said I don't give bad rep ..only good to whom rep is deserved ....those that perhaps deserved neg rep I don't have the time to even click the button;)

H2, you are a liar. I have proven it before and I can prove it again. At least you were man enough to leave a sig!!:beer;

And that's why this thread is on here bashing on them isn't it......... I work with people and have many friends that are in both of what you stated. and i have more respect for them than you can imagine. i also have family and friends that are truck drivers so when i here people start bashing on them it really hits me because people dont under stand what it takes to be able to drive a truck that weighs over 100,000 lbs as many miles as they go accident free wile dealing with pricks like you. in all kinds of weather conditions all so they can deliver food to your grocery store, or clothes to your shopping mall, gas to your gas station, car parts to your auto parts store or dealership, build the roads that you drive on, all so that dim wits like you can get on here and complain about how some trucker cut you off today, mile for mile truck drivers are tenfold safer than all you dim wits that complain about these truck drivers.
why dont we add the farmers that put food in your mouth and dairy men that put milk in your fridge. all of which are made possible by truck drivers.

even your army brothers and fire department is made possible by these people you call skum bags. that are truck drivers.

I'm certain that you are ignorant!! Read my original post and pull you head out of you azz. And don't try and manipulate this discussion by putting words in my mouth.

how do people think its ok to pull out in front of a 80,000lb truck going 55mph then get mad!! I love my air horn it makes guys heads spin and you know you just made a big mistake the only good thing is your still alive to hear it!!
I surely don't think it's cool and never condoned such a manuver in any of my postings. I'm sure it's scary sheet when it happens.

^^^VERY WELL STATED!!!!!!!!! Coming from someone who works directly with the trucking industry, (truck/freight broker for 11 yrs), nothing and I mean nothing gets moved from factory to distributor by none other than the truck!!!!! All it takes is common sence on the roads and things go smooth, only takes 1 azzhat that thinks a rig can stop like a car and things get bad.

Good to see ya still rollin H2, and yea that rig's still HAWT!!!!! Stay safe

No it wasn't well stated because the basis of his response was way off.
It is obvious the role the trucking industry play in our lives.

hows that sheet in your mouth taste now scooter ???????????????????

I think by now you should be tasting it not me.

Give him a minute he's still chewin:eek:.........

How's things other than dealin with haters?

I think you should be tasting it about now as well!!

fookin great tubin with the kids gots some time off ...bills are paid, dealing on a 09 XP 800R Summit Hillclimb.......chat with with me Monday to see how it all worked out .......:beer;:beer;

That's why my freights still in EDM.....:eek::beer;;)

It's funny on how fast things turn into a pissin' contest on this form. Allways makes for an interesting read. Now my turn to vent a little......I've lived and worked in the Grande Prairie area since 1980 and truckin' for 23yrs. Most in the oil patch but some long haul also. The big noticeable change is population growth. Hwy #43 north from Edmonton is 4 lane with one bottle neck left. The amount of traffic on the highways has exploded in the last few years and 3/4 of them need to be somewhere yesterday:mad: There is very little perfessionalism out there anymore or curtiousy. Too busy talking/texting on a cell phone or reading a paper while cruzin' down the highway without a care in the world at 160 KMH. Sometimes you just can't fix stupid, just deal with it :beer;

you got that right ....I just hate it from GP north thru Hythe , Demmit, DC, John especialy from John to Nelly..I hate it soo much that I change my sched in thw inter time so that I head north over the weekend when all the retards are at home or in the bar..

I used to get home and just be ready to rip somebodys head off ....
stupidity doesn't just exist in Tractor Trailers but those ,rig guys in their pickups racing to get out or home is enough to call it quits.

Usually when you have idiots in trucks ,,they always have these letters down the side ..Energetic,Sclumberger,Formula,Lands,Sabine.....
It always nice to see us regular guys that run the Alakas Highway week in and week out ..Like Lynden,Dufour,Miller,Byers,Big Alaska,Hoskins,Little Country ....we all know each other and talk to each other but ignor those other pukes ,won't even lift a hand ....

now I don't expect all of those lower 48 guys to even try to understand what we deal with ...they will never get it until their country has a Oil and Gas goldrush like us up here .....until then all they have is 5 axle trucks runnin around with guys in em that don't even know what a set of chains are or how to put em on ...

Im done:clock::eek:

I won't deny that you have your own challenges H, but I think that your head would explode if you rolled a lowly five axle into the San Francisco Bay area. Rarely ever ice, but heavy rains, fog and winds provide an excellent opportunity to test you patience with your fellow man. Tack on the 70mph to 0mph stop and go traffic and about twice as many people as in all of Alberta (just in the bay area) and I think we can offer you the kind of experience that will make you drink yourself comatose.

Come down and see us, we're right off the superslab.:):face-icon-small-win

You haven't been to S.W. Wyoming lately, or the Vernal UT area, or the N. W. corner of Colorado. Population has doubled in the past three years due to the oil and natural gas rush. Rocks Springs WY come 4-5 o'clock is worse to drive in than any big city I have ever drove in during rush hour. It's insane! White truck after white truck after big rig after frack crew, you name it.

Every morning when I drive to my plant, which is 20 miles on dirt roads, the dust is thicker than fog. I am not kidding, it will make you gag. And thats normal oil field traffic, when there is a frac crew or construction crews it is unbearable. Trust me, your not the only one putting up with the sorriest a$$ drivers the oil field has to offer.
