Freeride vs High Country

Hey!

I ride mostly off trail (meadows/hill fields/backcountry/tree riding) in northern saskatchewan. Mostly in 3 foot deep snow with lots of small hills Varies lots. I want a sled that is great in powder but also is comfortable and easy to control with good trail/ditch compatibility as well

I was wondering what sled would be better for me-

The 2016 Ski-doo Freeride 137' or the 2016 Arctic Cat XF High Country Limited 141'

I would say I ride 4/5 off trails in 3 foot snow and 1/5 on lakes/trails/ditches.

Comfort and ease of riding is important but most important is which sled is better for where I ride.

Also resale wise, which would have a higher value?

Thanks

I have a 2016 137 free ride with 2.25 track that I use as my flatland sled. Like you I ride a lot of backcountry, bush and swamps here in sask but still do some trail riding to get to the areas that I want to go to.
Perfect sled for that kind of ridding in my opinion as I prefer the r motion suspension over t motion as a flatland sled.
The resale will be better on the doo no matter which one you choose.

Awesome! Thanks for the comment!

In a predicament here if some guys could help me out-

I am currently deciding between these models-

and the 2016 XF High Country Limited brand new from arctic cat. (around 14k CAD)

Could someone tell me the best option for my riding where I ride 1/5 on lakes/trails/ditches (typically to get to the backcountry) and then ride 4/5 in meadows/backcountry with 1-3 feet of snow? I never really do jumps and I don't by any means need speed/acceleration

Don't know much about sleds and the dealers here are terrible when it comes to customer service so as far as value and performance/comfort go, which would be a sled best for me?

Also forgive my noob knowledge but does a can serve any other purpose than sound? How loud would the SLP Carbon Fibre one be that is on the freeride?

Would the 250km compared to the 1500km be worth spending a thousand dollars more?

Welcome to the addiction!

I'd recommend the Freeride. A used Freeride will cost more than a new HC, but you'll recoup more when you want to sell as well.

Can reduces weight and changes sound but that's about it.

I'd go with the 146 sled. It's not much longer than the 137 but the 146 is much better off trail but still had good trail manners. You'll want the Doo mounted ice scratchers for either sled and use them when not riding in powder.

Good luck and enjoy!

Thanks so much bro! Will probably go with that exact sled.

Do the KM matter that much when buying a used sled? If a sled has 1800km when I get it, will it affect anything?
