NFS just told me a fourth grader accompanied by adult can go in forest and cut down a living tree for free.

First time offered in many decades

So where are the pics of a sled dragging a tree?

Has anyone done a jump and cut a tree to the correct size?

Since when did the government own all the land and it's resources? If you remember correctly, we the people own the land and IMO you should have the right to go cut a damn christmas tree if you so please whether you have a kid with you or not. Now if you are cutting 1000 christmas trees and selling them for a profit, then that is a different story. Out of principle, I refuse to pay the five bucks or whatever it is for a christmas tree permit. If the catch me, I'll fight it.

Be carefull dragging your Christmas tree. If the snow is a little crusty or on a packed trail it'll wear all the bark off the lower branches. Wrap it in a tarp and you're good to go.
