Curious as to why the word republican is all over this article. Must be that liberal media lying yet again...

So? A bunch of Republicans were sounding off about Freddie and Fannie, and so they hired conservative lobbyist to quite them. That's what it says, and that's what I'd have done if I were trying to reach the conservatives. And, it says it didn't work, because the conservatives were still sounding off.

Obviously, they didn't need to hire liberal lobbyist, because the liberals had bartered for low income loans instead, that was their pay off.

Interesting article, but I wouldn't say it was slamming the Republicans. Mostly conservative lobbyist. I say we shoot all lobbyist, and start over.
