Freaking Vandals....

Once again, it appears that a few want to ruin it for the rest of us, got this email this morning. Please spread the word that things like this cost us grooming and plowing funds.

Good morning,

I’m looking for some assistance regarding vandalism that is costing our Winter Recreation Programs money. Can you please help spread the word through your clubs, councils and social medias that this type of vandalism is very expensive.

It has been reported by one of our sanitation contractors that 4 units were damaged beyond repair and use by firearms. Each of these units will cost us $850.00. They were at:

Reecer Creek

French Cabin

Sun Top

I hope that through your communications and ours we can get the word out that this is an unnecessary expense.

Thanks so much for your help!

the problem is its probably not sledders, I would say not have them there, if you abuse it you lose it

This must have occured before April 1-2 when they were removed?
Hopefully it wasn't sledders. :face-icon-small-fro

Why would a sledder shoot the chitter? Its already cold. Why make it worse with a chill willy breeze? Wasn't are peeps. If this is the greenwater area. I was up there riding weeks ago and on my way down there were folks at the gravel pit shooting, on the left on 12%,chitter at the bottom, numerous places next to the river. I was hearing shots almost clear down to the bridge headed over the river.

I agree XP i dont think it was sledders and i really hope it wasnt, most likely it sounds like it was some drunk ol rednecks shooting in an area that isnt a safe area. I also agree with Brew, if you abuse it you lose it...i have had to pop a squat over a log.

I've come around the corner in the gw area and BOOYAH there's a female copping a squat next to her sled. Husband on look out. He gave a thumbs up laughing as we went by. Lol

We bring our pistols and shoot a lot while sledding. Super careful about where we shoot and having a safe back stop. Pack all our targets and crap out so no one would even know we were there. I always wanted to blow up a chitter, never had the desire to shoot one. :face-icon-small-hap
