Fox Float Shocks-Good or Bad?

just checked

just checked Tom's and they have the R Evol starting at $995. Sounds like a competitive price and these guys seem to have the inside track on set up knowledge... that goes a long way with me.

Fox has a recommended setup. With Floats (or any variation thereof) preload is very easily adjusted and if you are spending that much money I would think that you would want them perfect which will take a bit of trial and error. I have Tom's pkg coming, and am expecting a baseline setting but I fully intend on zeroing in by myself. Here is a sample fox guideline - you can see its pretty generic.

as you guys can see most people aren't too happy with the ride of the original floats. The Float 2 shox have made major improvement in studder bump and fast bump situations. It is a night and day difference between the two and worth every penny. You can tell the difference instantly when upgrading to the Float 2 technology. Hi Casey :face-icon-small-ton
This is John down in Nevada City. I seen Tom over in Reno when he was dropping off the shocks he donated for the grand prize for the raffle. I didn't get a chance to talk to him much. It's going to be tuff waiting for good snow depth to take my new sled out an try out that setup Tom is putting on it.

After we get good snow down here in Ca. I will be able to let everyone know what MHO is of the new shocks set up. It should rock. :p
