Fox Evol X Shocks

Interested in putting these shocks on my sled, but it sure seems like there's alot of them for sale... what do you know or think about them? Seems like they're always New in Box, or just one ride. Why do you have shocks still in the box? As soon as I get mine, they're on the sled. Why are people selling them after one ride?

They are the best shocks hands down. But with that said there also very expensive. If you huck big or just ride hard i would consider the investment. if not there not really worth the money.

Watch out!

I've wanted these on my XP, have a few buddies that have ridden them and will not go any othe way. So when i saw there's a lot of sale posts for Evol X I jumped at the best deals going.

Beware, the first set I was told that they're in 9.5/10! Spent the money threw an extra $50 to help with the shipping, what I got was dog ****, pitted shock bodies on the one and the other one a 1/4 inch down to the raw metal gouge! Clearly somebody shipping something and hoping the buyer won't notice! The seller, when I contacted him with the issue, gave every excuse possible. He told me "Maybe customs had opened the the package and damaged them!", "Maybe you swapped the GOOD set he'd sent, with the crap set I'd complained about!". Completely uphill to get my money back, after I was offered a brand new 2011 set +$100 to make things right, never happened, got a week and a half run on that they were slow being shipped from Fox, total BS. Eventually without a wimper or a apology my money was returned.
That was the first set I attemped to get.

The second set, buddy on here was asking $900 for his, contacted him, being a little gun shy to say the least after the first time. They were simply asking to send him the money sight unseen. Yeah so I backed away from that deal too.

I've bought used stuff before without issue, then this!

My advice, b/c your in BC too, check out the Nextech out of AB. http://carbonsled.com/index.htmlhttp://carbonsled.com/index.html
They are a Fox dealer, and they have the Evol R sets for almost the same as the used X's.

The R's are what I'm going to go with, easier to fine tune, nobody trying to rip ya off and a warranty, that's my take on buying Evol X's off here.

Oh and if ya wanted to know who the BS sellers were, I won't tell ya but the posts are still up there!

Good luck

if someone is selling/misrepresenting chit on here..please share the names......they dont deserve the chance to sell another thing on here if they cant be honest and deliver what they say they are...

I have X's on my TD-8 and it took a season to figure them out PITA still was not happy sent them to GSR and WOW no comparison, I can only think that the OEM calibrartion was the wrong one or wrong part# but all is well now!!! still not shure the std evols wouldnt have been a better deal or AXIS or exit or even the WE needels,JMO

put them on my 09 summit x, and loved them. They are worth the $ for big air or very aggresive riding. Also I took the stock walker evens off my 2011 assult rmk and installed the fox air. Thats how good they are for me! Anyone looking for stock walker evens with 1 mile on them? they are not going back on.

Just be cautious!

I know now, that I will not deal with anyone on here, that has little to no posts, or new membership or has not been thanked or even has not posted their home in their ID!

What's the use of posting a deadbeats name, all that will happen is the person will assume a new name on here and its business as usual.

evol x

I took my WE's off after my first ride and bought some evol x's, and havent looked back. On my next sled I'll probably just get the evol r's,
but I have no complaints with the x's at all.

I have the evo Rs on the front and love them, the X's are a little too much. In the rear I went with Tom's EVOLUTION-AIR-REAR-SUSPENSION-KIT. The sled is tons better than stock.
