skip the 550 swap...

im takin the 7.3 out of my ambulance and puttin a big turbo on it and putting it in my 503. i should be able to get the radiator on the bars to solve the cooling issues of a liquid cooled hawk...ill keep you posted. last thing,anyone know where i can get some heavier fork springs for this project???
 
really, why would you want a 502 bigblock hog when you can have a 7.3 turbo hawk. i can just see the mt. guys with a trail of black smoke going up the chutes!!! the radiator would eliminate the broken wires of the heated grip on the throttle side too.

Screw the regular clutching system, just go direct drive with a left side handlebar lever to slacken the belt.......that thing should have all the power you'd ever want.

-might as well put a steel Tractor seat (with the holes) on it........
 
can you run in your garage and measure the distance between the 2 mounting holes of the rear suspension? the front near the foot peg to the rear where the shocks bolt.

If you put a big enough fan on the front you should get some trust from it as well. Kind of like a jet engine. LOL
 
lol....im swapping in the rear suspension from a 600 and the hole pattern is different. i figured id beef up the rear end first then get started on the 7.3l swap. i was thinking of a twin turbo setup...one on each handguard, but now you guys have me thinking jet power...lol
