Fork set up?

What's the general setup? I have a 450sxf was thinking either just put in stiffer springs 52 or 54? Or spend the money get the forks done by a mx shop?

230lbs 2015 lt kit.

just going to the stiffer springs is a huge benefit. also putting fork oil to higher end of spec as well. If bike shares dual/summer purpose as well i would say just do the springs so they are a quick easy seasonal swap.

If its a dedicated snowbike, i know the stiff springs and a revalve does ride mighty nice on the snow! Just takes finding a shop that has a freakin clue how to even set them up!

I've been wondering if you guys change up the front end for your snow setups. Any shops local to the Flathead with experience in this department?

I went from the stock .46 to .52's last year and it was a very nice improvement. I left the stiffer springs in for dirt use this summer and they've been just fine. Race Tech only has springs for my bike up to .54.

Thanks for the info I guess slavens or racertech will likely have some, I have the 4cs forks so not sure if that matters but I think they are only 44 on the 15 Sxf which seems light.

We just get the stiffest racetech has with 10 or 15 wt. Oil... much stiffer I have never tried with the. 52 or .54 both my timbersled and forks collapsed at the same time and rate, I loved it!

Yes Race Tech only has the .54 kg/mm as the highest rate but they can be modded for a higher rate as well as purchased in longer lengths to add more preload.
