forged my own hunting knife. pics inside

made myself a hunting knife out of a 1.5" ball bearing. forged, cut it out, and shaped it all myself. i left a little mill scale on the spine so i can prove i didnt make it out of a blank you can by.

Thats something your grandkids kids will be proud to have Ragin.Do you have pictures as you went along to show how you built your knife? I've built alot of things, but I dont get how you forged that out of a ball bearing.

no i didnt. i should have. i work in a blacksmith shop. we welded it to a piece of square stock to get it in and out of the forge and ran it through a 50 pound little giant power hammer and drew it out into a flat plate. i should take some vid of the power hammer in action. it can take a cold piece of square tubing and in 4 hits its flat and you cant see the seem.

Sooooooo that's what it looks like. I've been hearing about it for a couple weeks now. HAHA. Never did get the text with the pics of it.

BTW, Yeah he did the copper roses...not that he's done with my order yet!!! HEHE.
