For those with fit kit issues.... please read!

With all the complaints about people not getting or getting the wrong fit kits I've been in discussion with a couple of you individually like Ryan Willden about seeing who I could lean on to make something happen. I was put in contact by some Timbersled originals with Polaris and it seems like we've really stirred the pot. Polaris has admitted to creating a lot of these problems through poor execution and limited communication and is definitely going through some tough acquisition pains. They know they have let some of their riders down during this process and they want to help make it right. I have volunteered to help get information from those of us online who have received incorrect fit kits so that Polaris can get you the right parts immediately.... either to your door or to the dealer you prefer. I understand none of you in this situation want something "extra", you just want what you paid for. Let's get you what you need now so you can get on the snow. Missing parts, stuff from 2015 kits stuffed in a 2017 order, wrong parts.... it doesn't matter. Please contact me via Private Message. You can comment on this thread but when it comes to what you need I'll be asking for your bike model/year, your real name, the kit you have, and the parts you need on a one on one basis so I'm sure we have everything right. And I don't mean it may ship sometime next week.... I'm being told they will ship immediately and the contents verified, not just pulled off a shelf. I do know that Polaris wants to do the right thing and make it's customers happy... I think that right now they need a little help since acquiring a small business (based on their arsenal of brands) and learning some hard lessons about true customer support.

Thanks folks! Hit me up!

Rush, thank you. I just picked up my fit kit today from dealer (stoked!) and will be installing it tonight after we put the kiddos down. I am hoping everything is there.

Edit: Everything was there (plus a bunch of stuff i didn't need).
Got it all together. Can't wait for this weekend!

Anyone ever break that skinny 405 spacer?:face-icon-small-sho

friend of mine broke 3 skinny tss spoacers last year trying to install on a ktm, 7-10 days each time to get a new one shipped in. I just installed my tss fit kit on a 16 yz450fx and made sure not to use a hammer at all, not even even a rubber mallett, reach for the c clamp instead, and use a 7/8 drill bit gently to hone the plastic bushings if needed for a looser fit. I saw this this am and thought don't break that skinny 405! they are brittle for sure!

Hey Rush.........2015 CRF450R fixed strut kit. Been on backorder for weeks. I have been told end of Oct, Nov 10, Nov 15, then Nov 28th all kits would be available. What do you have for information on that one?

Sorry guys didn't get any email notifications that this thread was active.... was just answering my PMs lol.

Yea those spacers, even the steel ones, sometimes break. I have another friend that went through 2 in a single season. My understanding is that next years spacers will be coated to help prevent this for a few of the kits. All the ones for my KTM are pretty dang thick so I don't know which models are affected by reeaaaally thin spacers.

I'll check on this today!

Finally talked a buddy into buying a used kit but now our local dealer (I90 motorsports) is saying they can't get him a fit-kit. Is this still a polaris issue or do we need to start searching for a new dealership?

Bike is an 09 YZF450 so I can't imagine the kits are massively backordered.

Checking the website show the TSS kit in stock, TFS is backordered (don't give a date) ordered my last two fitkits from the website worked pretty good.

I90 Motorsports is on top of the Timbersled thing so if they can't get it then it's a Polaris issue not I90 Moto. Your best bet would be finding a dealer with one in stock if they are backordered from Polaris.

Yeah, I tried calling around without luck. I guess it's the waiting game while polaris gets their thumb out of their...
