What would be the mileage difference between the 3.92 and 3.55 rear ends on the new Dodge Ecodiesel?

i am a dodge 2500 owner. i looked at the dodge 1500 ED for the wife.....did alot of research online. i came to the conclusion that i will not be the poor guinea pig for these pickups. they are riddled with problems and the dealers are sitting there waiting for dodge/ram to tell them how to fix it. hopefully they are better in the future.

What kind of problems are they having with the EcoDiesel? Or are the issues not just limited to the engine?

I'm not a Dodge/RAM guy so I don't keep up on them.

mostly emissions related things. the 3.0 engine is nothing new, they have been using it overseas for a while. however, it doesnt have the USA mandated emissions crap bolted on it overseas. go read on the some of their forums for a while. the 13-14 models were nothing i would pay a dime for. maybe the new ones are better. i got the wife a different vehicle last fall and have not kept up with the new eco diesel models

Just an fyi they didn't make a 13 eco. My 14 has been great though. 40k miles as of last week. Exactly 1 year old in about a week. Pretty much always get 23mpg around town in denver. And here gas and diesel are with in a nickel of each other in price so its been much cheaper to operate than my previous gas trucks were. Never been to the dealer except for oil changes. Just went from denver to moab and got 29ish round trip. No complaints and tons of compliments.
