My sled was a submarine till I installed Simmons gen III. They are heavy and suck on the trail but make this sled much more capable in the trees. Does anybody have any feedback on the wide powder pros? I've thought they look quite capable of supporting these heavy tanks.
I looked into the new SLP MoHawk Ski's and they are $500.00 and that's with the hardweld runners, carbides were another $50.00. That seems pretty high to me. The ski loops are almost $50.00 each. I haven't priced a lot of different skis but I was looking at new Power Pros and they were around $320.00
I live in Oregon where we usually have wet heavy snow and I'm concerned the 8in would make it hard to get up on an edge. However I'm going to be in Revelstoke for 10 days and want something that will help in the powder.

8" Slydog Powderhound skis are the best in my opinion. I tested about everything there was last year. I have not test the Mohawk, new C&A, or the Hell Hounds yet.
The 8" Powderhounds are better EVERYWHERE! Feels so light on the trail, carves and floats and turns awesome in the pow. Side hills better than stock or PP too. I put a set on my T Nytro and go the same results. Honestly I was thinking of power steering on the Nytro before I tried the Hounds. what a hassle and expense that would be.
OK ordered the powder hounds. Sounds like they work well all around. Since I ride in Oregon and Montana and will be in Revel stoke for 10 days I will be able to give a good report by the end of the year. Thanks for the replays. My tcl delete is in my garage ready to install. Should be a great season if we would just get some snow.
