Long story but my kids '96 Phazer MTN Lite quit and i traced spark to the CDI so i replaced that with no success after i purchased a new one. Then, i finally punted and took it to my mechanic who told me to order a new one because he figured the bad coils in the stator caused a failure to the one i purchased and the OEM one.
After the second new one and still no luck, they re-traced some steps and it turned out to be a bad throttle safety switch.
So, i have almost 400$ into 2 new CDI's i have no use for and SHS powersports won't take them back because they are electrical.
I would like to get $125 and you ship if possible. Pics of part attached and receipt of what i paid. Call Larry 303 588 7258.
