for all those who arent running headlights

I cant tell you how many sledders I talk to every year that got stuck with no headlight.. You never know whats going to happen, a few stucks or a break down and your in the dark..
A helmet light works the best for night time riding..
Now the sales pitch..
We also have a battery powered LED.. sim to what is posted above only a bit higher quality and supported by a US manufacture. includes a battery that wont burn down the house.
WE include the mounts for a Snowmobile helmet

Guys I ride my trail bike to work every day cross country, after nearly hitting a bear (it's dark riding into work at 0530) I called Daryl and after listening to what I wanted to accomplish, he set me up with the LED light above. OUTSTANDING customer service. I got the light the NEXT day, pure quality. Through our conversation, I had expressed an interest in mounting the light on two differant helmets (bike/sled) and I wanted the flexibility of using the bike/sled stator power, but also the battery. No problem. Daryl worked me a smokin great deal on the light, extra helmet mount and extra pigtail. The cable connections are well made and overlap which makes for a very secure and weather resistant connection. I like having the flexibility to use the light wired to the vehicle, or with the battery. For example, if I wreck the bike :face-icon-small-blu or stick the sled :face-icon-small-con or suffer a breakdown:face-icon-small-fro, I still have the battery pack for light until I get mobile again. Priceless.
The LED is WAY brighter than my headlight, is focused well, I'm not sure how far it projects, but at 80 yards it's beam is 30' wide. (From my house to the front of the 30X60 shop) I have the battery pack, which comes in a very well made cover with velcro, strapped to my backpack shoulder strap. THIS LIGHT IS BRIGHT, DO NOT SHINE IT IN SOMEONES FACE. Something to keep in mind.
Quality build, great performance, great customer service. How do you go wrong?

i couldn't see the $100+ for a helmet light, i looked around and made my own
a 55watt 12v track light avail at home depot 10-
a cheap plastic spice container( i forget the brand, but they are at grocery stores all over)
the bulb fits right into neck and i cut out the center of the lid, i ran two wire through the back and put enough wire to reach the handle bar, on the bulb end i used small red(22-18) coatedflat blade terminals, and pluged the bulb terminals in. then on the other end, i put a two prong connector, attached to the headlight wiring
i now can strap it anywhere, helmet, bars, shine it like a flashlight, and stow it in my pack, smaller than a small water bottle!

I admire the spirit. I would urge you to water proof the connections, so you don't short anything out.

Off road rider does the light stay permanently mounted to your helmet or is there a way to quick detach it. I want to run a mesh hood on my pro(11 pounds of weight loss and better cooling) but ride at night a bit. Also, this light can run off the sled or a battery correct? What does the light and battery weigh? Just the light?
Thanks

Matte, I can take the light off my bike helmet and store it in the barbag in about 30 seconds. It's a pretty neat mount that allows adjustment/shock resistance and is still secure enough to stand up when I forget the light is on the helment on my way home from work and don't quite duck far enough . . . . geeze, when you think about how dumb I am, you have to wonder how I got this old. :face-icon-small-dis Needless to say, I have whacked it a couple times already harder than I would have expected it to live through, and it doesn't even show any damage.

My sled has a battery for the electric start. That is DC power right? You are in Kent WA correct? Do you have a showroom or store where I can pick stuff up? That is right on my way to work.

off road rider,

Your product looks intriguing. I have a slight interest right now because I would like to black out my Pro light. This is to lose a little weight but mostly because I like the look. The first product you had a link to has a dead link for the video. Can you redirect?

Thanks for the heads up.. Ill find that video and get that fixed

Guys be forwarded that in lots of states a headlight is required. I've got a ticket for no headlight before. We've even been told to go home running with no hoods. Dutchman flat (bend, oregon LEOs are dicks)

Cyclops helmet lights are the way to go. Hard wire a connection off your stator and keep your helmet light in you pack. They work better then ANY sled mounted light, you can see where your looking!

NEW for 2012

I'm proud to announce that we just received our latest LED Adventure light
Now even brighter and longer lasting with the latest and greatest LED technology available. The Cree XML emitter is extremely powerful and far surpasses any halogen helmet mounted light, even our 50 watt version.
The new model also has a higher capacity battery and is available with a head strap for those times you dont have a helmet on. working, skiing, etc.. (please always use your helmet when on your sled..)
This is without a doubt the best deal going for an American supported high output helmet mounted light.
Ill work on getting some new photos showing the motorsports use, hopefully we will get some snow soon..
