Never really stopped pedaling it. Just didn't put any "used car salesman" posts up like the old days. (nothing against used car salespeople).

I know you posted a link to the ad, but you may want to post up the info here as well so people know what they are looking at.:tea:

Just didn't want to upset the tender feelings of some of my fellow 4m members. "this is not the section for selling your stuff!!"

Here is the ad:

Fantom Recoil Rope is by far the best thing for recoils on any sled (cept for you push button guys!). The Fantom Rope has been installed on the biggest triples and twins around and never failed (if installed correctly). It has a burst strength of 5500 lbs where stock is 1200 lbs. It will out-live your motor!! 100% replacement guarantee for the life of the sled! Cheap insurance when replacing that oil soaked, frayed, torn and twisted stock rope. Yes, it is the same stuff SLP sells but Fantom Rope comes in distinct Race Red! And best of all, it is half the price!

Prices:

One 7 foot Fantom Rope, shipped to your door is $25.00 USD
$20.00 for each additional on same order, so get a group buy going!

Buy 10 or more and they are $15.00 each and $10.00 shipping

For the past 7 years this rope has been gracing forum member's sleds around the country. Sold thousands of feet and never a warranty claim!!

CANADIANS!! CAN SHIP TO YOU TO. Just add $5 to the first rope.

Well young jedi, 7' is more than enough for all recoils. It give you extra in case you mess up on cutting the length. Not saying you would mess up, just a little insurance.

BTW, It is very tough to cut, I use a razor blade and even then it take a bit to make it through. Is not like normal nylon rope. In the rewind cup, you have to make sure to pull the knot TIGHT! and on the handle as well.

If you have any further questions, send me a PM, I would be more than happy to answer them all!! (questions regarding the rope only, I am not a counselor for parolee's)

If you've never used this stuff before, it is bullet proof!!

Pretty sure most sledders who have been around a while have broken a pull rope...now, that is a thing of the past!!!

Phantom Rope is the real deal...It's like flexible steel.

does this product cause rope burn? i need some new rope for tying the missus wrists to the bed frame. i like the romantic red color, it would match the candles.

It causes minor burn, nothing like normal rope. It would work perfect for your application. However, it is "for her pleasure".

There is no way she could gnaw her way through this stuff like normal nylon.

Problem here is that if she can't gnaw through the rope she'll likely chew her arm off

I can vouch for these ropes. They are sturdy.

My pull rope system had a BAD design in it back in about 2005 and I lost my recoil and water pump belt WAY back in the mtns one day.

Bought a Fantom rope....but I didn't fix the orginal cause of the fray. The Fantom rope never frayed at all....but about 4 years later we did decide to fix the cause and the rope is still doing well.

GREAT product.

WTF came up with the idea of having to pull the motor to change the rope out.

It be a good idear to get some good rope in there when it is out..... eh?

Race red is the new pink :face-icon-small-win.

I knew that would surface. I don't know what it is about those NorthWest Doo guys, but they all seem to think red IS pink...... mmmm

I need a shirt to "Sport The Chicken!!!"

I think I'll have to get some for the hubby's sled. I've used some marine rope to replace the rope that always breaks when you're clear back in BFE someplace which has happened to me 3 times (thus I always carry a lot of extra rope, plus for other needs too). I just replaced my old marine rope last season, which did last a whole lot longer than the regular (and did the King Kat rope pull mod to my 1M to help with the fraying)....again with marine rope, but nice to see this is still out there. I don't get into Swap often. :o

Definitely what I'll be going with in the future. I don't think I've ever heard even one negative thing about it (having to do with it's longevity). :)

Thanks for the post 4Z!! :)

Oh yeah....and that pic does make it look pink...which makes it even better! ;)

Should I just give it up and call it pink? LOL.... Thanks!!

Eric, thanks man :face-icon-small-win
You are like a human encyclopedia. I love it!!! And as always, a world of help. For that I am grateful.:tea:

Thanks Brandy, Mark it 100% right. It does not streatch, even a little, so you get more pull power instead of yanking on a rubber band type feeling.
