Just watched the 3rd commercial today about saving the children in Africa for a measly $.50 a day. Now me being sick and being a debby downer, I thought about how this could be a bad thing. Saving lives, of course is good. BUT then I thought, what are these children going to do with their lives which are saved?
Are they going to go to school? are they going to make something of themselves? Are they going to be happy? Will they be able to have families and be able to support said families?
All these things seem doubtful, which leads me to thinking what is the point of keeping these people on the brink of life if it is a terrible life to life? Isn't this terrible? I can't say I would want someone to feed me just enough food so I can sit on my @ss and be barely alive.
To make this better, I thought why don't we move manufacturing that we have done in Asian countries to Africa? I'm sure it would be cheaper, and I'm sure it would not only save lives, but give people lives worth living.
