Fo2002 Ford Truck Mirror Wiring Help

I bought a new mirror for my truck from ebay. The one i bought has a round plug and the one on my truck is square. I just want to cut one plug off and wire in the other, but the colors are different. has anyone ever ran into this and if so what color goes to what?

square plug has yellow-blue-red

Round plug has purple-yellow-green

I would take it back and ge the right mirror! Dont cut the pickup end if u decide to try and make it work.
