FMF pipe problems

So My Riding partner has An FMF megabomb pipe on his bike and after one ride the seam of the Bomb chamber split open from what appeared to be a bad weld. Now after a few more rides the muffler internals are all broken and is not repairable. This system has maybe 10 rides on it with 2 failures already. FMF did warranty the head pipe failure but according to the shop they don't want to take care of the failed muffler.

Has anyone else had problems with FMF products?

obviously he is not happy with the situation. Is anyone here an FMF rep ,dealer etc. ?

Any help would be appreciated !

is it titanium by chance? have had issues with Ti, and hot pipe, cold temp, snow, ice super cooling, and cracking stuff. Ski

Ti header on my yz450f cracked the other week.

Found out a spring fell off and one tab separated.

Welded it back up and put a new spring on.
Holding up good so far.

No it’s a SS pipe I know better than TI for a snow bike.

Just curious if anyone had similar experiences with FMF products. They should cover this under warranty IMO it’s seems they may be hesitant to do so.

I had my powercore 4 muffle crack in several places and the aluminum headpipe flange on my FMF powerbomb header would bend so the bolts would come loose and the headpipe would fall off. Switched to the even more obnoxious Big Gun muffler and had the stock Ti flange installed on the FMF powerbomb header, so far so good now. I noticed the older FMF powercore on my buddy's 450 had a separate midpipe and he hasn't had any cracking issues. These are on '06-'09 YZ450s.

I've seen older, mid-2000s FMF stuff fall apart but haven't been around any of the newer systems. Not much better from the sounds of it.
