flywheel weight on skidoos

so i have a 2000 skidoo summit 700 and it dosent have a weight or counter balance on the flywheel but i just bought a 2001 skidoo summit 700 and it dose have the counter balce or weight on the flywheel my dads 01 800 also has the weight .
so my question is will anything bad happen if i remove the counter balance or weight off the flywheel of the 01 700 or is there a reasion for it

typically the weight helps with low end torque due to the added weight (centrifiugal force). Matter in motion tends to stay in motion.....If you remove it, I would guess that it would mess with your clutching....
