have ya ever seen that ad (I think it's sponsored by the NCAA) that says something like these kids are "going pro in life". This kid is on the right track. GO ROLLE GO!!!

F.S.U.’s. Rolle Heading to Oxford

Published: January 13, 2009

The former Florida State safety Myron Rolle said in a text message that he would be heading to Oxford, England, for his Rhodes scholarship instead of entering the 2009 N.F.L. draft. Rolle started for most of three seasons at Florida State and was considered a strong professional prospect. Instead he will go to Oxford for a one-year master’s degree in medical anthropology. He said he would enter the 2010 draft.

Missed half the Maryland game (I think that was the one) so he could attend the interview. For once the NCAA got it right and allowed the team/boosters to fly him charter from the interview to the game so he could play the second half. Go Noles!!

If he had been picked up the press would be all over the story, a it is this has been buried. The media only wants to present the bad news. Congrats to Myron Rolle, way to use your scholarship for more than an NFL prep course.

A week before the Rhodes Scholar interview he was interviewed before a game. He sounds like he has very high goals for himself. If I remember right I believe he hopes to practice medicine after some time in the NFL.

He's a positive influence on those who have not had such great experiences at FSU. He's finally someone the kids should be looking up to.
