Floor Board Coolers added

Having an extra cooler for the trails should help the cooling. Just wondering if it works well, would a person forget that his hyfax may not be getting lubricated like it should. I've got traces of hyfax stuck to my track after doing a lot of trail riding. I make sure I put my scratchers down now.

To me, it looks like the new cooler is plumbed in a closed loop and not likely to get circulation. It would probably work a little better in series to the existing plumbing.

Keep us posted as to how it works.

Ya if trails are hard pack I do run scratchers down. thats how they were plumbed on the older sleds ,it should circulate fine as the water pump will push the coolant . I added one under the tunnel too. had that one on last yr. and when I had to run into town to get gas along the side of road where there was not much snow it got hot, hoping this will help.to keep it about 10deg. cooler I hope to see that. the one under the tunnel help alot too.

Running Cooler

Get your Track Ported, you would be amazed how much this lets the snow in to provide better cooling.

I have some older Indy floor board coolers that I thought about using like you did. But they were going to be used more to keep the floor boards free from ice and snow build up rather than for cooling. You might try some ski mounted scratchers as well as they will point the spray right to your added coolers. Like to see the inovations. Thanks.

ya i was thinking of doing this also. but for a diffrent reason. i was planning on running from the motor to the runnerboard coolers to my Turbo :face-icon-small-hap back to the tunnel cooler then back to the motor. that is if i run water lines to the turbo. i would only add a cooler if it was plumed in series. might not even need scratchers if you ran 2 board coolers and the tunnel cooler. with so much surface area it would probobly keep it at around 150-170 on the trails. for a good while at least. and with that much surface area one quick jump into the pow it would cool down drasticly.
