float X vs. Zbros

Ok, if you were to order a timbersled which shocks would you order with it? Advantages/disadvantages of each. Trying to decide if it is worth the wait for the zbros or just get the float x.

this would be on a yamaha nytro if that matters.

zbros!

those boys know how to build a shock! You will get a more custom tuned/valved shock, if you dont like it or wanna change it they will revalve it however you want for free!

I have been on many sleds with air shocks and I have yet to see any series of them compare to zollingers setups!

waited 8 weeks for z bros. I aint' a fan of the regular fox floats, but 8 weeks sucks too. havent' had a chance to try them yet. stock eye to eye is 16.5", z bros is 17.5". can't seem to find out if this is going to be a problem or not. guess we'll ride it and see. might have a set with one ride for sale shortly.

noob have you contacted Zbros? I have not measured mine but they work flawlessly if they are the wrong shocks they will make it right for you.

i was told shocks would be 2-3 weeks at Edmonton snow show and get my order in. I got the order in that day, and 8 weeks later is when I got the shocks. Chad was the worst to deal with. I would rather sell this setup then deal with him again. If they have to redo these shocks, i aint' waiting again.

Wow. You are the first person I have heard of that has a bad thing to say about their service. My shocks were ordered, built and delivered in 2 weeks. Did you order them direct? I ordered mine through Michelle, she seems to get things quicker (and cheaper) than most

yup, ordered through michelle as well. I know of 2 other orders(not placed with Michelle) that were muffed up. Also I know of another guy who ordered a-arms and spindles from zeb only to get 2 shipments, one being bent spindles, and still hasn't recieved his a-arms as of yet. We still havent' recieved our bushings for our spindles, was promised they would be in with my shocks. I know every customer ain't gonna get 100% customer service but Chad sure has left a sour taste in my mouth. After 6 weeks, I told him if shocks weren't here by the end of that week, that i didnt' want them. No apology, just I'll get you a call tag and take them shocks back off ya. At the end of the day, I'm sure he don't care. After that email, he shipped the bloody shocks to Michigan, took 13 days from the time to ship them, fix his screw up and re-route them to me. anyways, I'm sure they are a great product, just ain't happy with customer service.

First off i would never buy or use Fox floats. They suck ! The more air you put in them the worse they are. Z-bros is twice the shock of a Float IMO. Second I would consider something different for the rear skid. I kept bending the TS skid and it started to get real old. It always bottomed no matter what valving i tried. The last version i had was ok but it had nothing on my new Baker skid with a Elka rear and Zbros front shock. Very adjustable and rides and climbs great. Keeps my front down more than my TS ever did. TS may work well with a sub 500lb machine but anything more than that it just didn't work and bent and wore out too easy.

I ordered direct from z bros and they were here in under 3 weeks (nortern alberta). Best shocks I have ever had. I will not buy any thing but a triple rate shock from now on, this will be my 3rd season on this set.

I am excited to try the shock. don't take my posts as bad mouthing zbros products. just wasn't impressed with the way it was handled and the length of time from what I was told when ordered. life goes on.

Check with 2xm3. He went from Floats to Exit shocks as we speak.
