flat tops

We ride in from the Buford side near Meeker, Head east at the Heiner springs turn and enjoy thousands of acres of open parks.mild to wild hills and lots of drift jumps.

More flat tops perfect today

Got 6 inches of new snow last night and the snow was just right, rode 50 miles today. Still thousands of unmarked acres left. A few pics of todays fun.

next time you go riding on a saturday

The wife and I ride most saturdays up there, so if you want some company the next time you ride on a sat, let us know and we'll meet you at Hiner Springs.

hiner springs

We normally would be there on sat, but this sat. we have a baby shower for one of our grand daughters the wife wants to go so we will post the next week end and we can meet up and do some riding. We usually hit it from around noon to 4:00 pm but can adjust that either way, have fun and think snow

Nice pictures.

Nice to see some pics of home. I grew up in Meeker but haven't lived there for 20 years. I did make it back often and rode out of Yellow Jacket Pass quite a bit but haven't been over for a couple of years riding.

Flat tops

We have rode all over the rockies, the flat tops and ripple creek is our favorite, so we bought a cabin right in between, 6 miles to the flat tops trail head and 6 to the ripple creek trail head. We can see sleepy cat peak out of the back window of the cabin. Also the best elk hunting in the world right out the back door. If you ever com over this way, haller and we'll go riding.

Need new snow

Rode the flat tops again today and found very little powder, only in the shade. Went all the way up on top and over looked towards Dotsero and Glenwood. A few pics of the overlook. And a huge cornous. Think snow.

Sounds like a good time. Nice pictures. I told the wife we should ride the Flat Tops this year or next. Try a new area.

We were south of Eagle this past December snowboarding in the backcountry and got to talking to some local people that told me the FTs are great.
