Fix lug?

I am sure this has been asked a thousand times on here. But, can I fix a torn lug?

Also look into rubber conveyor belt glue

There are companies that will glue it for $100 but labor and shipping might want you to look at buying the glue.

Is there enuf to glue it back together?

I remember guys were using EV6000 (E or V or something 6000) glue you can buy at Hobby Lobby.

Oh ya there is enough....it is basically just ripped.

Ok.....how do you guys suggest I get it to stay down while it dries?

Thanks

maybe get a piece of wood long enough to go over the lug in front and behind it. Cut a groove in it that the tip of the lug that broke off will fit in so it will hold it up.. then clamp it down to the lug in front and behind it and let the glue cure. that is what i would try. it may or may not work

There was a place that could mold on a new lug and fix just about anything like new....havn't heard of them for a few years, can't recall the name. Big help eh ?:D

Found 'em!! http://www.carrolltech.com/

There was a thread about how to fix torn lugs.

Use the 6000 glue, use a board with a clamp to clamp the lug to the track.

One idea was to run a sheet rock screw threw the opposite side of the track inot the torn lug. In order to hold the lug to the track while the glue dries.

Ya I remember a little about that thread, but couldn't find it. Thanks for the website....but they are in NY....don't want to spend that much getting it out there.

Cool....the sheet rock screw idea would work I imagine. The track is off the sled now...so that makes it easier.
