Fitch fuel catalyst in tank- 07 Apex Mtn

My old man just bought a used 07 Apex Mtn, the previous owner said he put a fitch fuel catalyst in the tank (and didn't secure it...)

Question is, could that pose any problems or should I drain the tank this weekend and go fishing for it before he gets it on the hills?

Thanks in advance!!!

Why would you worry about it? It's not going to plug the fuel inlet. I don't have an Apex, but on my other Yamaha's there is a filter/screen over the inlet of the fuel line. The catalist is a lot bigger than the end of the hose.

Not so much worried about plugging the inlet, but knocking something loose from it bouncing around in there. I'm used to Cats where they have a couple "smart valves" in the tank for fuel pickup, just didn't know if the Yamaha had something similar to that or not.

I just tossed them in the tanks of all our sleds....no problems so far....
