Fish Lake area Sat. 3-23

Ride

It must have been good - Told the wife I was sore from doing yard work on Sunday - yeah right!

I used the "sore excuse" for a reason not to do yardwork, get used to it, we're fifty somethin'. But hey, even the thirty somethings have got to be a little sore after the "wormhole" experience. :face-icon-small-hap Good times!

Thanks for the ride Bruce, Leif, and Logan. Let's do it again soon, I'll try to stay on my sled.:face-icon-small-win

Great ride great day. It is always 3:30 somewhere! Thanks for the ride through the wormhole....can't wait for the next tour. Defiantly a work out miles and miles of whoops and mixed dirt very worth it! Thanks Randy very fun

Holy Meadows!

Ok..i have to ask....are there a lot of meadows with decent access in fish lake area. I ride with my wife and she is not comfortable on anything other than fairly flat/open meadows. Is Fish Lake that type of area or are these fairly secret spots we are seeing in this video. The cabin area of greenwater is chewed minutes after a snow and I've really struggled to find other areas for my wife to enjoy.

Nobody in their right mind would do what we do to get to these areas. :face-icon-small-ton If they were easy to get to they would be tracked out before you could get to them:face-icon-small-win by Yamaha Ryder

I knew the answers would be like that :-(

And so continues the plight of the new guy only going to places Clem will show up Greenwater.

If I took them in, I would have to pay off everyone that rides there with lots of $$$$ :face-icon-small-sad I might make a nickel off it! :face-icon-small-ton And yes we are gentlemen untill it comes to our secret riding spot!:face-icon-small-coo

Yeah....its just something I have to get used to. Came from Montana where people weren't near as secretive about where is good. A lot more riding spots and a lot less people tends to do that.

Rsamsel, they are not being jerks, it is truly a difficult area to get to. It looks like a nice easy place to ride, but is backcountry and has the potential for minor problems to quickly escalate to a serious situation. Local SAR will take a long long time to get in there (like they won't go) and a damaged broke down sled will be very hard to retrieve. There are no signs and it is easy to get turned around. It is also an area that is tracked out quickly if more than a couple of groups are in there.

It is only a mater of time if problems start arising there that it will be on the next to close list.

And as always if you want the fresh powder you need to time the storms and be willing to travel, get up early, or ride mid week days.

A heads up to riders over there... there is a new winter sport Johnny hired specifically for the secret spots and the extra secret spots... please watch what you post anywhere from now on!!! That is another reason to be suspicious of unknown new folks on this site. Gota start thinking about that???
