Out at the dunes today, actually had a good experience with these guys this time! They had a RC paired up with a fish and game officer out there today, actually he told us there were six of them there. First time they've ever been decent to us! The one guy was a rider himself, funny how much of a difference that can make. They want us to have our plates visible still, but he told us that a clip on headlight and tailight is acceptable, and that they don't even require that they be permanently mounted, told us to keep them in a pack or whatever so they are presentable upon request. Two of the bikes in our group had no registration/insurance, they let us go with warnings.

I don't mind being stopped by guys like that, or I should say stopping for them. They never harrassed us about how we were riding. I came ripping through the sand woops 5th tapped and slid right up to them, not a word about slowing down or being careful or anything. They never even asked if we'd been drinking (we never do but all the same). There was a old CR 450 who rode by, I was saying I thought it was like an 83 or 84, never seen one before. He told me it was an '83 and that he had had a '84 model.

So anyway thumbs to the government for sending the right guys out there, thats a positive move towards compliance. Having the right guys go do that stuff makes it more likely for us to stop. When they treat us like the antichrist I don't want to stop at all!:)
