First time to Snowy Range

Our group usually goes to Cooke every year but we wanted to try something different this year and we settled on Snowy Range. Now...I've been searching for a while and I've really only found a couple places to stay that have decent prices. Just wondering if somebody could direct me anywhere else. We would like to be able to ride right from the motel/cabin. We also like to drink...

Ride in ride out places that I can think of:

Medicine Bow Lodge
Mountain Meadow Cabins
Albany Lodge
Snowy Mtn Lodge
Albany Cabins

Places on the mountain can charge a premium since there are not that many options. If you want to go cheaper you are going to have to stay in Laramie.

The Old Corral is at the base of the mountain - it is a short trailer trip up and back each day, but might be the comprimise you are looking for.

What is your price limit? Mountain meadow has decent prices on cabins, and Old Corral is like 80-90 bucks a night. Great restaurant and good service.

If you like to drink then you will want to stay in Centennial. You can stay at Mountainview Hotel (I prefer), the Old Coral, and the Friendly Store.

Not sure if you've been on our website http://Albanycabins.com but its worth visiting. :rolleyes: You can park at the cabin with your rig(s), unload, and ride from the front door 100 yds to the trail system. :cool: You can walk to Albany Lodge right next door and crawl home if necessary.:beer;

Our pricing is about the best considering what you get. Give a call if interested. We are booking fast since the snow has hit. :D:clock:

Thanks

Their cabin is NICE.
And the really good thing.
It's crawling distance from the lodge (bar).:D
Also has a full kitchen for those that want to save some money on food.

not to gun down any of the locals with cabins on the hill but uf u want good night life stay in laramie and plan ur trip when college is in session ;)

lodging

stay up on the mountain or close to it. do not stay in Laramie, they will steal everything from you-sleds, trucks, trailers, gear. alot of good places up there, and lots of fun.

very true. stay in laramie & take a chance at loosing things. you may pay more but you don't have to trailer your sleds up every morning if you stay on the mnt.
word of advice - albany lodge (lodge only) has some moody employees. snowy mnt is very good but no bar. your best place would be centenial if you want to drink.

I crawled back Saturday night after 8 pitchers between 2 of us :beer;:eek::beer;

It was a rough morning ride at -5

as little trail as possible, we like deep powder in meadows or trees, and some small climbs to dink around on
