No Bad Days

Wow what a let down, gray days sure depress me, maybe your second ride "ever" will put a smile on your face......:face-icon-small-win

Thats what Im talking it was great vid! Keep it comming! Still hevent been out this season NO snow yet! Comming tomorrow though!

Nice. Looks like some more snow wouldn't hurt. Although, looked like it was deep enough in a couple of places!

Thats a nice looking KTM ! U look like you actually lnow what your doing LOL. Nice vid !

Cool vid man! What's with the snorkel on the other guys bike? Does he have a turbo? That's an awful long way for a n/a bike to suck air!

Not sure why he went that route but it seems to work pretty well. It's not attached to the carb throat just goes to the airbox which is sealed off and he just runs the outerwears pre filter.

M5

As long as it works i guess... Mine is basically as long as the stock tube that goes to the air box. But no box, just a boondocker filter. Its as short as i could make it with the adapter, and it seems to work pretty well so far.

exhaust heat?

im running a pod off the carb with an outerwears and it was working good, but this weekend it was deep and there was alot of steam coming off of the exhaust and condensing on the filter. i had to dry it off 4 or 5 times. are you running any kind of heat shield on the pipe cat bandit? im running an 08 yz so i wanted to compare notes.

Mine is an 09 yz, and I'm running a 2 to 3" silicone 45° reducer with a 3"joiner to a boondocker filter which is basically a wire frame with a prefilter. Jetting is stock except one up on the pilot jet. Stock header with a fmf ti powercore slip on. The filter sits between the bottom of my seat and the forward part of the rear fender. I left the sides of the air box on the frame so i didn't have huge holes to look at. So far it works pretty well, but my vent lines get a snow ball on the end of them, and it starts running poorly. I haven't had issues with condensation, that I've noticed anyway... Buy every time i looked in there the filter was clean and dry. Even with 2 plus feet of pretty good snow(for Washington cascades). Going from the stock, un oiled filter with the skin the ts kit came with, to the pod, i have better throttle response, and it seems like there is more power as well.

im running the exact same setup as you but w/o the sides of the airbox, on an 08 yz, just a few hours SE of you (blue mtns) and i was sucking a lot of water vapor on sunday, maybe running the sides if the box is the hot ticket, all the snow that hits the pipe (where the pipe and muff meet) turns to steam and gets sucked through the pod. i run my vent lines into a PC racing catch can. might have to try running the sides of the box and see how that works:face-icon-small-coo

Yeah, i put some zip ties in a couple of the rivet holes around the sub frame cause there is only one bolt to hold the sides on. I didn't think of it keeping snow off the exhaust...
