First ride with RKT Secondary

So I finally got to try out the secondary kit and since I had a stuck roller it also has a new spider, weights, and spring in the primary.

Went up to the Big Horns Saturday night and was planning on staying through Tuesday.

Sunday we headed out towards the hunt mt area. I was super impressed with the sled. The throttle response is very smooth and were it had a low end bog it now it pretty much just rips. :D The power goes all the way through the throttle too.

We made it just about to the top and were almost into the open area when I was ripping up the first real hill and I hit a rock with the left ski. Broke upper and lower a arms, shock, possible bent steering rod, think the spindle and ski might be okay.

So we limped it back into bear, got about 2 hours total of riding in. :mad:

Oh well, hopefully I can get some more time off after we get the sled fixed. It was a blast to ride. Thanks to Kelsey for such a great product! :beer;

Yeah, we got that done in October. Very happy with the track, no more getting stuck on packed trails. :)

My luck has been not so good this year, 2 rides and had to limp back both times. Now just knock on wood that I don't have engine problems next. :rolleyes:

Did run into a guy that pointed out when I get on the sled that the suspension doesn't move at all. Never really noticed that before, he said we could relocate two bolts on the rails and it would really change the set up?

if you are talking about the rear skid, this was a problem with the 05/06 skid. It tightened the track too much through its cycle. The fix is an HRP relocation bracket. Also make sure you run that track as loose as possible. 2" of free sag.

Yes sorry, I did mean the rear skid. Will look into the brackets, thanks.
