First ride on the 2012, not impressed.

like others helped me with my sled a couple of weeks ago, Your TPS sensor probbably does not nead to be realigned, just pull the plug and dry it out.
They seem to come zip tied around the plug werid, it pulls the oring to the side, it gets mositure in it and your motor wont run right, i had many of the same problems as you, warning is it a PITA to get to, but get to it, cut that tie strap and pull the plug, there is a button on the back of the plug to release it, let it dry out good, plug it back in and see what happenes.

What he said, more than likely moisture in the TPS connector. Use some dielectric grease on it after you dry it out.

The 2012's have a boot on the TPS sensor connector..

How many flashes on the CEL?

Do what those above say... check the TPS connector.. and dielectric grease like Dave said.

Ethanol gas or regular?

Stock handlebars or aftermarket??

Well after a day drying in the garage it fires up and idles. Also goes into reverse again. I will re dielectric grease all connections tomorrow.

2 questions:

I can't recall if the sled is suppose to beep when in reverse? It is not doing it at this point.

What is idle suppose to be on a cold engine? Mike Taylor made mention to 1600, but it is idling 22-2500.

Thx

that idle sounds right and i think my 600 is right around the same....Also i had a problem like that before and letting is sit in a hot garage for a day did the trick. Mine would do it after having it pinned then letting off...it would die and then as you were almost to a stop fire back up.....lol i love Fuel injection.... but hate all the extra electronics cuz they are a pain to trouble shoot.

THe spec for idle is 1700. The few times I have started mine so far it idles around 1750.

no beeper on a poo, and if its cold out they will idle faster...warm shop should idle 1700-1750..0 degree cold outside..around 2100 right after startup till warm, then idles down ...

None of us Skidoo riders bashing yet--so here goes:) Not really... Please don't bash a Skidoo guy for giving my thoughts guys, I want to find a wrecked Pro for a project.

Hopefully it turns out to be a minor electrical issue, but it sounds similiar to the symptoms of the Dragons that have gone down when I've been w/ them. Sounds like the Pro have been super reliable, so I doubt it. If still chasing electrical gremlins, I would check compression.

My TPS was off as delivered, a simple DIY readjustment and I got rid of the Bog/Stumble/Hesitation that showed up here and there.

Search these forums for specifics, but a simple ATX Power Supply from a computer will do the job. Search the interweb for which pins to jump to turn on the switch-mode power supply. It's really simple, just one jumper across two of the middle pins on the large rectangular main power plug.

Induce 12 volts dc to the ECU and 5(5.5)dc to the TPS and measure baseline voltage.

This method is allegedly superior to Polaris' Digital Wrench Setting.
