I drove up to a friend's cabin Wednesday and I admit I was hoping for a bit more snow down low for this time of year.
Just need a couple of good storms and should be good to go.
Anybody know whats going on with the stockpile of dirt in the Big Springs parking lot?
Probably saw 4 dump trucks just in the short time I was there.

The county is stockpiling gravel there in advance of road rebuild project on Big Springs Loop next summer.

Snow is surprisingly good, but we have had NO FRESH in some time now.

Thank you for the video, and the reply. We are booking for 1/30-2/1 weekend. We try to come up 2x a year……. Typically we stay at Ponds, so we have trailer parking.

In your opinion, is that the best place to stay with sleds?

Ponds is great because it has a bar and food. Sawtelle is fine also. I've stayed at the pines also. It has food and a little bar.

One thing you are NOT lacking for and thats GOOD PLACES to stay.
There are MANY good choices.
Really just a matter of what "Style" you prefer.

Motel
Lodge
Cabins
Air B&B

Great options for sure. With (2) dogs, we are somewhat a little more limited, and have enjoyed Ponds in the past.

In the meantime, will try to all the trucks including washing my autos and park them outside or something, in hopes of maybe getting it to snow….we NEED more snow in the West very soon for us all.
