First Ride Buffalo Pass Today!!!

Rode Buffalo Pass today, awesome snow. Some places there were three to four feet, not inches, but feet-o-snow. No base at all, so we stayed on the roads most of the time, and visibility was poor due to heavy snow fall, plus I was riding the company owned sled, an 02 Summit 700 with 144 track. No handle bar risers so I was getting a face full of powder every few seconds. There was times where it was arms sticking in the snow and knowing that there's a sled somewhere down there. Only got stuck once (we all did) when one of the other guys stuck the 99 Summit-X 670 into a drift. A little unprepared for the ride, forgot my bavaclava and face mask, so I had a cold and wet face the whole ride ...with a smile!

On the way back to the shop, I stopped at the dealer and found that my new sled came in and it was being built.

...is this a great country or what?

No fawking way! Did you take pics? I won't be coming over RE until tomorrow night.

What, no pics for us to salivate over!! that's great Buff got a good dump, but then, it always does:D

and i'm stuck, still, waiting on shocks for the last 2 months...

guess i'll be riding the trusty ole heap of a backup sled...the Doo will be ready by next weekend! :P

good stuff, finally.. hopefully its not just a tease...and stays cold.

with out pictures I refuse to believe it ;)

ok maybe I just have a little denial!

Rotax what shocks are your waiting for and why did you have to wait sooo long?

That is pretty amazing since the news said Steamboat was only getting 6 inches. . .:)

I'll believe what i read on the internet (forum) before i believe anything i see in the media/news!
That and maybe cuz it makes me feel better believing in 3 feet of snow...6" is depressing...so was looking at the snotels for all of CO.

diz,
Waiting on Float 2s for the front.

Not to hijack, but that's weird you had to wait so long on your shocks. I got my Float 2's about a month ago. But they are on my 07 600 HO RMK, so maybe different production runs? Either way, they are sweet! Well worth the wait. Back to the snow talk.......:face-icon-small-hap

I find it hard to believe when dry lake snotel is only showing 6" and the ski resort is showing only 17" total snowfall this year. The tower staion was down. Hopefully because of snowing.

Andy sent me this on my phone, not sure where its at but I think its a tower site on Buffalo Pass:)

lol, the top of that building looks familiar. I'm guessing Zoomie doesn't care if you believe him anyway! It's Buff pass, what's not to believe?? Buff is an enigma:D

I dug one up from 3/23/08 :)
