First ride 10/27/2010

Went to bachelor yesterday. The snow was great and was about 3 feet deep. Had no problems riding moon mt. The weather was perfect and I pretty much had the place to myself... ...ahhhhh serenity.

I was riding my mt. bike up there a little more than a week ago, great pics and that snow base is amazing for october!

Looks great! That being said, I will be waiting for the snowpack to settle some before I ride anything other than the roads. After hiking up there just weeks ago there are so many things that need to be covered up good in set up snow. It is literally a minefield right now.

Trust me I was very cautious..., I know the area pretty good so I only played a little bit. I wanted to enjoy the scenery and take advantage of a beautiful day.

Cool. Well that will be a day you'll remember for awhile. Nothing like having the place to yourself. Nice pics.

hey hows the riding up near moon mt. i've never made it up that way
tried once and ended up on miles of whooped out trail:face-icon-small-sad

bring that snow! everbody keeps telling me that its gonna be a big snow year
and some of them are'nt even riders wahoo crossing fingers and toes

I hear ya on the whoops. Trails are brutal when thier rough, thats why I bale off the first chance I get and spend all my time boondocking in the tree's. The riding around moon is great when the powders good. The biggest downfall is how many people ride around there so it gets tore up real quick. Hence another reason I ride in the tree's. Hope you find your way up there and experience it for yourself.
