first mod

I have a 09 dragon 155. And I love it!!! no problems for me so far. Anyways I have had any money to put into it yet. I am wondering what should i do first? dont have a whole lot to put into it I have a family and cant dump to much into mods at once. But what do you think would be a good mod for the money?

I'd give it a PCV. While stock, mine ran better and I eliminated lean issues for more reliability. You will need Better Boards. The stock IQ boards are trash and they will destroy your boots from kicking out snow. If you can spend more money I would do an HPS can, Camo Extreme track, Fox Evol R's all around and follow up with some venting!

After reading all of the post on SW I would but the fix kit in before it blows. It not if its going to its when is it going to blow. No sense in spending money on mods if the engine is going to explode. Cheaper to do it now than when you have to buy cases. Then you have a good foundation to build off from.Just my thoughts

I would ask the same question as F-Bomb, "what's it not doing for you"? I'm riding a '10 D8 with 350 km and no problems. I've put a 2" riser and a "Thing" can and that's all I've done (so far). The crew I ride with tell me every time I suggest changing something, "Just ride it". That being said, at some point I am going to look at a PCV and Better Boards or the boards from Backas Racing in Mara Lake.

For the most part it does everything I want it to do but there are a few things id like to change out. I have already put the stiffer springs in the rear and its doin great. First the front shocks, they are just too soft. I want to get some float 2s but damn!! $700!?!? The other would be exhaust. what would be the best set up for the 800?? I have heard good and bad things about the pcv, does it actually give you any h.p gains or is it all fuel managment?

I have a 2010 D8 and after the first ride I changed out my front shocks
because they were WAY to soft & I didnt like the feel of the sway bar. I went with evol-x's, but if you dont want to spend alot of money get the regular floats, better than stock. The stock shocks are junk, I wouldnt even spend money to get them revalved or to have the pressure increased in them.

The other thing I would recommend is clutching, get Carls helix, along with
some delrin washers for the secondary, and maybe a different primary spring if your low on rpm's.

1st mod- MTNTK "The Fix"
2nd mod- PCV

after that i would then worry about putting on things like bar risers or better boards and vents.

Honestly, I think there have been enough failures on these motors that I too would replace the pistons. The Fix at like $585 or even a set of Wiseco pistons, both are on backorder now.

After that...

PCV, Better boards and a Can.

First, preventative maintenance to the motor pistons etc like mentioned before.

Then change out the front shocks, that is the only mod I have done to my d8 2010 and it is a whole new sled, the stock shocks are just no good...

It's gonna be exspensive, but when you put in the "Fix" you need to have the cases machined for 2010 cylinders and throw the '09 cylinders out. I wouldn't spend a dime until that is done. When I decide what I am going to do with my sled, I have all the other mods and may be parting the POS out.
