He said it was Alpine.....Dont you think the company who built it could set it up right?

Well considering im guessing they only did the turbo install that doesnt have anything to do with why that sled never ran good..... and im more then postive that the it was a electrical issue which caused it to start on fire... imo this thread is giving people the wrong impression that this turbos started on fire even though i dont believe it had anything to do with the turbo.

Do some research bro, heat oil lines coolant lines =fire issues dude,my point is all mod sleds have issues you mod you risk, its just more of an issue with the heat up front, just sad to here buddy have this happen you pay for the instal buy the pros you hope to turn key and ride,i dont think the fire had anything to do with wireing...

Just turn the key and ride.......8200 kms and counting. Has never let me down and continues to amaze people that have never been exposed to these sleds. No heat issues either. Gee, its for sale too!

I agree. People ask there sled to make double or triple the horsepower and then whine and cry when it breaks. I say the rider is more responsible than the installer...these sleds are like race cars, you have to check them over after every ride and make sure everything is good to go. This sounds like a bad ending to a bad marriage, but probably better off that way. LOL

I have a Alpine Rx-1 and ya the white fuel tank fittings about halfway down was screwed in mabey 2 trurns. filled it up in the morning of the first ride got to 2km on the trail and i went up in flames. Leaked half a tank of fule into the engin down by the exhuast. we got it out but not before it burnt alot of things. other than that it has been great, other problems but they were stuff i could have prevented. Oh and the blow off valve broke on me but whatever. that sucks though ,that i was i pictured in my mind when mine was on fire. not a great feeling!
