Finally... XP Driveshaft Repair Info From BRP!!!!!

Looks like I will find out what BRP is dooing. Spun my drive shaft today.

Dealer welded mine up free of charge on 1/29/08. They said BRP is paying 1.5 hours shop time. Check with your dealer guys.

Local dealer says the same thing..but no official BRP notice or recall yet.

How about a new shaft BRP...or an official recall.

Local dealer here is removing drive shafts and welding them as per BRPs instructions. My friend just had his done yesterday. Contact your dealer and have them call BRP.

Shaft that was welded failed

I towed a guy and his xp off the mountain to the cabin at Boulder Mt in Revy.It had to be heli-coptered off the mountain.He had just got his drive shaft welded and drove over 16 hours to have it break.This was a twice a year thing for him only to be cut short because of a bad design.I say brp should fix this and all of the other issues right away before lossing their valued followers.Light is better but too light may cost loyalty.

I totally agree with you! These sleds kind of lose their durability because everything is so light.

i have put my xp threw a lot, i have not broke a drive shaft, i have about 500 km
