Finally rode a Nytro

Yamaha had Nytro demo's today and I finally got a chance to ride one. We had some great powder today to put one to the test.

Unbelievable handling in the trees. You don't have to throw your whole body around to make it turn where you want. The track worked ok as long as you kept up your momentum, but if you got off the gas, it was stuck. I feel a 162 would work well on this sled.

The bottom end and throttle response was unreal for a stock sled but definately lacking in upper RPM power. Another 20hp (or more:face-icon-small-ton)would do wonders for this sled. The throttle response is so good, you had to be careful when taking off from a dead stop.

I've owned and ridden Yamaha sleds most of my life and I must say I came away impressed. For a stock sled, it was far better than I expected. A little more power and a little more track from being perfect.

Time to start looking for a used one.

The track def. has to go, but the top end power could easily be fixed with a proper clutch setup..Clutched for middle of the road not great for either mtn or lake:D

Let another person ride mine today and they were sold. That's like 5 Rev owners so far this year who rode it and said they would be switching.

I know the Rev's work good and have buddies that ride them well, but I've never been able to get used to them. I can't wait to get back on my old Mt. Max after riding one.

Even though the Nytro is a rider forward chassis, similar to the Rev, it has a whole different feel to it. Much easier to make it do what you want.
