Finally - my first video for 2008

not that smart of a thing to blow past that moose or caribou at a high rate of speed, and i also find it offensive.

pretty cool vid though, helmet cams are pretty darn cool.

sweet video man , the moose run was way crazy .. ask big bull about his wildlife encounter LOL
mike:D

Tabs,

I've always heard of snowmobilers running wildlife with thier sleds........just never thought any of us were really that irresponsible.

Oh, and thanks for posting the vid so the greenies can use the footage to make the rest of us that don't treat animals like **** look bad.

Appreciate it.

Way to go dumb azz.
Why not walk up to the rangers and ask them to shut us out.
Now you know why they are pushing to shut down areas for winter wildlife protection.

I don't suppose you have ever heard of responsible riding??

I'd have to agree, next time take your dad with you so theres a resposible adult to keep you in line. Those animals conserve their energy so they can make it through winter. The last thing they need is a track poaching yahoo chasing them down.

Nice video. I guess I am a little confused on the members bashing him regarding the moose. If he had not went by quickly, like he did, the moose may have ran for a much longer distance trying to stay ahead of the sled. I am in no way condoning wildlife "chasing", it just looked to me like he did a decent job of getting by the moose.

Or he could have done the smart thing and simply stop and let the moose decide the best way to get away without running for it's life.

I have been in that very position before. You just wait for the moose to decide that you arn't a danger and it will simply watch you go by.

What he did was the very definition of chasing. If you are in that big a darn hurry, get your butt off the trail and let the moose have it. Go around him.
