Finally!!! A review of the '13's!!

Sounds about what I expected. Poo and Doo to battle it out this year. Are you listening Poo? 2014 Pro with a reliable DI 800 HO and you will no longer have to battle it out. Heck, the DI part is optional... just a reliable 800 HO please and thanks. I could see 2014 being BNG though and perhaps another big addition for '15.

As a side note, does anyone else think this Pro chassis may just outlive the typical 5 - 6ish year shelf life of a chassis. I could see this chassis being on the snow a couple extra years.

Ski Doo may finally have an equal contender to the Pro for 2013, but as soon as Polaris drops in a stronger engine (2014?) it's game over again for Ski Doo. I will take lighter over slightly more power any day.

Dont forget the 16'' track. At least a tunnel that will accept one for the guys that know it would be another game changer.

Dan, the 16 wide track is part of the problem with doo and why they have always been more work to sidehill than cat or poo. No different than narrowing up your ski stance an inch. It is only a 1/2 inch on each side but it makes a big difference. I'll take the 15 wide. What you lose isn't worth the gain.

All this "best sled" talk is so stupid. Odds are most of you can't even ride your sled to its max potential. I know I can't and I'm a better than average rider.
I own a pro, Ive ridden 12 cat M8, and I'm sure I'll ride the new XM soon and like it too.

Instead of worrying about how good the sled is, worry about how good of a rider you are because now days you are the only thing holding your sled back!

The lack of vertical steering is why I don't ride a ski doo. 2013 is going to be another polaris year for me. If ski doo puts vertical steering on it I would be very interested. I'm not brand loyal at all. I think reviews are silly and I don't read into them. The fact that a sled with 148hp can keep up and in some conditions out so 165hp sleds is impressive. Great to be a sled head right now.

Doo really screwed up this year by not getting enough demo rides out to people before snowcheck. Their demo riding is next month for us. I want to snow check a sled soon so I can sell mine. They lost my purchase. I wish I could buy both.

That XM sure seems to be getting some great reviews, Im almost embarrassed to admit this but I kinda want to ride one. If they had vert steering then I would be really tempted.

they must be right then huh, lmao. polaris has had the best selling mtn sled for 2 years and with the new drive system its pretty hard for me to believe that will change, but you just keep believing everything u read. oh ya what sled won mtn sled of the year in 2012? funny i notice doo aint bragging about weight anymore

There will be no comparison when Polaris unveils a new reliable 800 with 165 HP. It is the best mountain sled and cross over sled now and it has 10 less HP. There is no arguing the chassis but they need drop a 165 HP motor in the Pro Ride IMO.
