Figured out my low RPM issue

Found the bushings in the sliding half of the primary to be gone. Clutch is toast. Dealer said bushing is non replacable??? Kinda strange that you can't replace the bushings in the clutch.

Anyone have one for a 04-800 ho that they would like to sell??? Wrecked sled part out etc??

it is replaceable but it probly had to much damage to be replaced. when they go they usually take the retainer clip and housing with it so it cant be replaced. seen this 100 to many times.

Most of the clutch is still mint. Got a guy that I race with that has one in the shop (low miles, 500 feet at a time deal, ). Price is right and he'll give me a core exchange. Has a place that does the bushings and re-balance the entire assembly. Hope this takes care of my issues.

Check out your spring cap--it usually goes before the bushing.

They keep sliding half and spring cup bushings in stock there. I just picked them up today! Great place!! They are a simple press in type. One way of course!

Looked in the shop manual, called for a "special tool" to get new bushing installed. Did you use the "special tool" or some other means??
