I tried to install the spare belt in the hood clip on 2015 le holy crap I can't wedge it in there, how do you guys do it? even if I could get it to fit the two rivets inside the clip sure wont be kind to the belt, poor design in my opinion.

I took the hood off and layed it on a moving blanket so I could put all my weight on it, no way it will fully seat, mines significantly bent after trying. To me looks like the belt is far too thick to fit. Mines a 15 LE also
I just drilled out the rivets and took the dang thing off.
Once in its nice but first time is hardest to get in and yeah start one side first on angle mine is a 15 le too
Line up the belt cogs so they mesh. Then it pops in.
2011 was tight but fit, I tried all the above but no go! for those of you who succeeded is the belt pushing against the rivets ?

You need to spread it apart a bit permanently, mine stays in but i use the o ring as well
I got frustrated with the belt clip and bought one of these instead. My sled is a '15 RMK LE so no need to store the belt drive belt, only the clutch belt. Fits perfectly.

thanks guys, i'am going to try to spread the clip and if that doesn't work that sledsolutions bag should do the trick.
It's both a brute and finesse/patience fit - use tips previously stated, increase the gap in the holder with pliers. I zip tie the belt in two places, cogs tight. Once you get it in, thread it up past the hood moldings, and the hood will fit nice and tight. Helps to have the hood off the first time. Use the o-ring. Done it on three of my own pros now, just gotta work it. Best place for it on the sled.
If you carry a leatherman you can use it to pull the outer side of the clip out and the belt goes right in, no problem except Polaris does not furnish the Leatherman, but I have had mine since before I started to ride Polaris and I needed it on every ride on my A--- Cat to fix at least one thing!

finally got it in! I used a pair of 14'' needle nose pliers and forced the clip apart and it still took a lot to get in place. thanks everyone

Yup, Leatherman, line up the clogs and really strong thumbs, once its in and the grommets on it fits in there well.....funny it took me a while to figure out what that clip was for.
