Fernie and area

Has any body been riding the fernie area/the pipeline, what are the snow conditions, any info would be good as we are planning to head out the last week of Jan.

I went down there for a day ride on Saturday. We got snowed on the whole time we were there.
The conditions change quite abit as you ride around, some areas are nice with deep ridable snow and then there are others with many stumps sticking out.
We did have a lot of fun down there though.
Conditions will get better after another dumping or two.

Are there any cabins that in the fernie area that we could stay at,that are a resonable rate the guys wouldd like to try them instead of a hotel this time

Try Inn on the Border. It is before Blairmore/Coleman. Not sure what is directly around Fernie.

Was wondering if moressy is closed? That's what I heard.how's the new stageing at coal creek? On our way up that way at the end of the month to.

I think Morissey is closed. When we were sledding on the 29-30th, there was a road that was plowed almost right up to wranglers cabin. I am assuming that this is the Morissey road as others have mentioned it too.

yes morissey is closed, the road is ploughed for trucks, but there is still other places to stage from. Fernie super 8, BCMI in coleman and blairmore are pretty reasonable places that i have stayed at.

Were staying at the super 8 in fernie, will be there the week of the 24th of jan. Should be a good time. There are 3 of us and if Anyone who wants to tag along is welcome to.
