Felker tuned etec turbo

What would you like to know about pj. As far as the cost I have about 18 in It so far but I have a 2.5 challenger extreme on the way as well as timbersled rear skid. The front end is to wide so that will haveto go. The innercoler deleAte pipe is a charge tube that bypasses the innercoler alot Less lage but charge temps get hot after the third long pull. The sled pulls like a freight traine. Charge temps will be about 210 after third pull but will cool down rapidly if let idle. Sled works grate in trees because the lack of lage. My brother has a vohk turbo cat and it has about twice the lage.

what turbo? turbo cost? was it a kit or homebrew

clutching changes?

what controller are you using?

Install time

Dizz nailed it. That's the stuff peeps wanna hear.

How long did Felker have the sled?

Did he do the install or just tune it?

Is he getting into the boost game now with the Etecs. I know he's not doing it for the 08-10 XPs

He did the install. He has be working hand and hand with arewcharger. He has got alot of tricks to make them work better we have two that he has done. His clutching is spot on. He just turboing etec. Pm me if you wAnt to come ride we ride the snoweys

Why are you bypassing the intercooler, is it not working with the intercooler? What is the theory of bypassing the intercooler?

Cost, weight and a little faster spool.

If you setup the turbo correctly, spool shouldn't matter. You are crazy to not run an intercooler.

Running one will allow you to push more boost, have less heat, both of which will produce more power.

Not to mention an intercooler will either allow you to run more timing or run less octane without detonation.

also remember with this turbo design setup, it is a higher volume less pressure... pressure makes heat

so at 7lbs with a higher volume turbo, charge temps are not as high as 15lbs on other designs

test have been done where the delete has made a big difference in spoolup, and not really increased charge temps, as stated after a few consecutive passes is where it will be more evident

Good post. I have been trying to tell people for a while that it is not about pressure but volume.

Think a fire hose at 7 psi or a garden hose at 25 psi. What moves more water

I see why they want the delete now, bigger volume means slower spool. The deleted intercooler will certainly help on the spool.

Personally I think a Vnt or vained turbo would work great on a sled.
