I have a guy that is from Idaho (not currently living there) wanting to take a group of us in to the Featherville area next week. He is not giving much information. From what i gather on previous posts it seems trinity is the most common riding area. Also from what i can tell it looks like lower elevation terrain??? like 4500'-6500'. Am i correct in this? Is there enough snow to ride with out worry of destroying my sled hitting stuff. What snotel site do you refer to? I'm riding a xp turbo set up for higher elevation and was hoping for a little more elevation. Sorry for the long post and all the questions...... Any help would be appreciated Thanks.

The snows not very good any where in southern Idaho right now. You may want to check out BCR (Back Country Rebels) website as they have a good thread going on over there for riding conditions in the Trinitys. As far as snotel sites go this is the one I use http://www.wcc.nrcs.usda.gov/snow/ Hope this helps.

We were out there the end on January with turboed sleds. There was plenty of base and a lot of untracked to ride on (could of used more fresh of course). If your friend has been there before, he should be able to find great riding for you guys.

Was just at the Trinities last weekend, parking lot was mud and trail was littered with rocks for a few miles. Once we got about 16 miles up or so it was pretty decent but they it needs more snow for sure. There is a TON of riding to be had up there though.
