It grows on you.

R&R is Good stuff! Crown was abused by me and now it hurts same as Jack, Pendleton is deeeelish! Good old BV for mixing...mmm velvet 7s.:D

Beer is still best when I dont want a hangover:beer;:beer;

Crown if it's a "regular" day, Macallan 21 yr if it's a "special" day. I like special days.

Side note, anybody tried Phillips Union Whiskey? I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised. Not bad at all, especially if you're going to mix it anyway. Waaay better than you think it's going to be given that the first word on the bottle is Phillips.

crown or R&R for me for whiskey

lately I have been getting into the scotch served neat from time to time, my absolute favorite so far is my prized royal salute 21 yo scotch, picked it up for about $100 in tawain, sells for alot more up here I was told, which I believe it being as the chivas 12 was selling for 12 bucks, and up here it is $80, its great stuff, but only for very special occasions obviously, most of the time I just drink Chivas 12, never a big fan of the Johnny Walker black, blue, red or gold, still have yet to try any single malts, so far I have only tried blended scotch, but wow what a difference between the quality of scotch, ages, and how they have been aged, its pretty cool.

any other scotch fans?

1. crown or makers
2. jameson pretty good for cheap whiskey

I have a bottle of johnie walker blue, but never opened it(savin for special occasion)

I also want to try that hand bottled colorado whiskey. Has anybody had it?

Jim Beam
Jack Daniels

over ice. My favorite time to enjoy is on summer weekends at the lake and then jump in the cold water or take the boat for a cruise with the dog.

I dont mix with sledding ever.

This is a great thread!
I'll have to admit, that I just started drinking whiskey this last year and it has quickly become my choice drink. I have a wine cellar, and used to open 2+ bottles a week. Seeing as I don't have that discretionary income right now, my wine buying has stopped and the wine inventory is down to the bottles that I want to save. (I have just over $3k in wine)

Love the whiskey, can sip it straight up, 1 or 2 cubes, or over the rocks depending on your mood. Gives you a good attitude after 1 drink, and 2 or 3 aren't enough liquid to make you feel like you've been cracked with a bat over the head when you wake up in the morning.

My Jameson is low, so I'll pick up a bottle of the recommended Pendletons this weekend.
