Fairview - need directions and pointers

We're thinking of driving from Logan to Fairview next weekend. Once we get to Fairview (have never been there before), what direction do we take to get to the parking lot (Skyline South area past Huntington Reservoir looks the best to park at)?

And any places not to miss? How about the snow level there, is it worth the trip or should we save the time and hit Tony Grove again?

Thanks!

It depends on what kind of riding you want to too and the weather conditions. In stormy weather it can be really tough to see anything up on top. Do you want to ride meadows and smaller hills or do you want to climb the bigger bowls? Bigger bowls stay on top before huntington res. If you like more trees meadows and hills then go down to the res. parking. You can still get to the bowls from down there if you go up some of the canyons.

I think Fairview had a very slow start this year and you would be leaving much better snow behind you. Just my opinion.

That is very true. It started off really slow this year. I think I had more snow at my house then we did our cabin for new years down there. Its almost back up to normal but is definitely still below average year for snow.

Millers Flat parking area is the name of parking lot you speak of, Millers flat is great fun as stated, ( heads up for the open ditch 200 yards south of the parking lot, I've seen many bad accidents there) if its a clear day park on top (two parking lots on either side of the highway) and just head south, great riding all around. This week Fairview will get dumped on!:)

...

No!!...Don't go!...Stay far far away! Fairview sucks bad....don't even waste your time or the gas/diesel.
You will definitely have way more fun in Logan!!!;)
